Along with Sarah, The Sarah Pierce Band includes four musicians that make up what Sarah calls "The very finest band I have ever had the honor of being a part of!" With a collective 125 years of experience, 13 gold and eight platinum albums, and 2 Grammy nominations between them, The Sarah Pierce Band is proud of the fact that they can all call themselves true professionals in every sense of the word.

The band includes our newest member - Carl Loschiavo - acoustic double and electric bass and vocals - I have been a fan of Carls playing for a long time having seen him play with various artists in the Austin area. Both as an electric player and even more so as an acoustic bass player...at the University of Miami, he spent 5 years as a jazz performance major as well as touring the US gaining invaluable experience 'on the road.' His understanding of many musical styles brings an interesting...and I think unique...'voice' to my music. His experience is vast and his talent exceptional. This talent has allowed him the privilege of opening the Monterey International Jazz Festival for Chick Corea and the late Dizzy Gillespie. We are all really proud of having Carl be a part of what I feel is the best band of which I have ever been a part.

Doug Hudson - acoustic guitar, mandolin, and vocals. One of the finest acoustic guitar finger style players alive, Doug has performed with the legendary folk duo Hudson and Franke, Robert Earl Keene, Lyle Lovett, Robert David Hall (Emmy Award winning actor on CSI Las Vegas) and Nanci Griffith - before becoming an integral part of The Sarah Pierce Band. Now, some 5 years later, Doug has become a true partner in all of this. He is always there. We call him 'The Mountain'. Not just 'cause he is a big man...anyone that has seem us play knows this already....but also because he is solid as a mountain with his playing, his singing, and his gentle friendship.

Kenny Grimes - acoustic and electric guitar and vocals... For the last 5 years, prior to joining the Sarah Pierce Band, Kenny worked with Curb recording artist Hal Ketchum. He has also performed with artists such as Willie Nelson, Jerry Jeff Walker, Hank Thompson, Shelly West, Chris Wall, Gary P. Nunn, and Johnny Gimble to name a few.  In fifty words or less, what can I say about Kenny Grimes. Maybe that he is a really nice guy. Maybe that he makes me laugh 'till it hurts. Maybe that he may well be the finest lead guitarist I have ever had the honor of playing with...and I have played with some great ones. Maybe, I have now gone over my fifty word limit and I'll stop. OK, one last thing. Kenny Grimes is the best.

Merel Bregante - drums, percussion, vocals...Merel began his career with the LA based seminal folk rock band The Sunshine Company. Since then he has recorded, produced, and toured with, among others, Loggins and Messina, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Chris Hillman, Steve Martin, Pure Prairie League, and Gary Morris. I really don't know what else to say. He has been my partner in my music and my life for the past twenty years. Life is so very good!!!!

As well, when in Europe, you are pretty well guaranteed to see our two dear friends and amazing musicians in their own right, Giuseppe Barreca (Joe) on bass...

...and Maurizio Fassino (Micio) on acoustic and electric guitar. Micio is also the bands manager for all gigs in Europe.
