HI everybody,
It's early March, 2010, and we have finally begun the new recording. For the last two weeks, our dear friend...and elegant guitarist...Micio (Maurizio) Fassino has been here from Italy helping arrange and record the basic tracks on some of the new material...he and I actually have written a pretty cool 'rocker' together as well. He, Carl, Merel, and I recorded the basic tracks on seven new ones. Now, it's time to get the rest of my wonderful band and close friends in to finish what we've started with Micio and record the rest of the new songs. I think there will be 14 this time. I am hoping that we will be done by early summer. As soon as we have a couple that are close, I will get them mastered and posted in the New Singles section on the home page of my site.
So, we are recording, rehearsing, and getting ready for some really fun gigs. Included will be a set at The 2nd Annual Reckless Kelly Celebrity Softball Game (No, I am not playing softball) at Dell Diamond, in Round Rock, Texas, on April 25th. In the meantime, we have a Green Mesquite date in Austin this coming March 20th (the Saturday of South by South West). And, we will be heading north to perform in Milwaukee (Shank Hall - April 14), and Madison (High Noon Saloon - April 15), Wisconsin and back to Joe's Sports bar in Chicago on April 16.
Because I can't make the editor work on the photo's page (hmmmmm?), I have included some new ones below. There are a bunch from recent gigs including the world famous dance hall at Luckenbach, Texas and The House of Blues in Houston. There will certainly be more to follow. And remember, if you are not on out mailing list, please sign up. We do a monthly newsletter to let everyone in on new things going on.
For now, thank you for being the great fans that you are.
See you all soon.
Love,
Sarah
